Tim Iqbal embodies rich conservative values such as Hard work, Resilience, Vision, Personal initiative, Empathy and adaptability, both in Public Service and private endeavours. He is deeply committed to community service, community-building initiatives and building an economically strong Brampton and Canada through legislature and “common sense” service to the community and residents. As a proud Canadian, he has achieved the Canadian dream for himself and his family, residing in Brampton with his wife Sobia and children, Isaac and Sarah.
Tim has held roles such as resident and Assistant District Governor of the Rotary Club and Executive Director of Extending Seniors Horizons. He mentors new immigrants through organisations like the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council and serves on the Executive Board of the Mennonite Central Committee of Ontario. Tim’s commitment extends to co-chairing fundraising initiatives to raise half a million dollars for the Brampton William Osler Hospital. He is also currently President, Christmas on the hill, Board member of Bramalea Baptist Church, among many other service initiatives.
Tim’s contributions to Canada’s  future include assisting immigrants in establishing vocational strategies and professional networks. Recognised for his mentorship, he has earned awards such as the “Mentee who Became a Mentor” from the Toronto Immigrant Employment Council and accolades from the Peel-Halton mentoring program. Tim has chaired the Sheridan Internationally Trained Professionals Network and played a pivotal role in forming an advisory committee for immigration integration.
Active in politics, Tim has  volunteered in every federal and provincial election since 2009. He has undergone political training, including at the School of Practical Politics in Calgary and the “Summer Program for Future Legislators” at the University of British Columbia.

Tim is passionate about Brampton resident issues such as lowering the cost of living and ensuring affordable housing, ensuring safe and secure streets, addressing car thefts, drug related problems, increased crime, challenges for international students, seniors well being, inflation & increased cost of living and improve public health, infrastructure, better and improved public transit. Tim advocates for restoring hope and opportunity for all citizens while promoting strong family values and defending freedoms.
Tim’s service has been recognised with awards like the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and the Paul Harris Fellow from the Rotary, reflecting his dedication to making a positive impact on his community and country.

Conservative Activism

Since 2008, I have volunteered on every federal Conservative and Ontario PC campaign. Additionally:
  • I have supported the Party as a member of the Leader’s Circle, Loyal Blue Club and the Confederation Club.
  • I sought nominations in Mississauga Centre in 2014 and 2016.
  • I have brought out voters with the long-term in mind: securing support for the Conservative movement so that we can win the next election.

Volunteering, for me, has not been limited to election campaigns; I have done a variety of community-building initiatives such as:
